LL Cool J debuted his new clothing line “Todd Smith” at Macy’s in Culver City, California on Saturday.

For some reason “Todd Smith” sounds a little more upscale and classy than sparkled shirts but you have to start somewhere. I guess he’d rather keep it young and fresh instead of classy and mature.

Either way I wish him the best.

I’m trying to respect the man’s wishes and call him Sean Combs but I’m not going to make changes every 6 months so Diddy will do for now.As you might know, Raisin in the Sun was a success, and now Diddy is moving to Hollywood to be in movies.

“I’m out here [in Hollywood] looking for houses now…I’m going to officially be bi coastal. I feel like in order to make movies, you gotta be where they are being made,” he told AllHipHop.com

Raisin in the Sun drew in more than 12 million viewers and I think that Diddy credits himself for that.

“This has really set a tone out there in Hollywood that I could draw, that I could bring people to the box office and put people in seats as I make this transition …It’s one of my proudest artistic moments because I kept on working hard. I didn’t give up,” Diddy said.

And I thought that people watched because it was a classic story with a great cast overall. Can you say Phylicia Rashad.

Ever wondered what Halle Berry smells like?

You may find out as Berry has signed a deal to develop her very own fragrance line.

Coty’s senior vice president of global marketing Steve Mormoris said,“She adds another dimension to the celebrity fragrance market. Halle has always been a little more mysterious, not quite as open with her personal life as some other stars. Her fragrances will allow her to present another facet of her personality to her fans.”

Ha ha. That’s some pr/marketing talk if I ever heard it.

The fragrance has yet to be named and it will launch in department stores next year.

It looks like Tyler Perry will be bringing Madea into the cartoon world.

“After receiving thousands of letters from parents telling me how much their kids love Madea and realizing that a lot of the plays were not kid friendly,” said Perry, “I wanted to do something more appropriate, and this seems to be it. A ‘Madea’ animation looks like the best way.”

I’m imagining Madea as a cartoon and the first thing that comes to mind is Suga Mama on Proud Family.

Perry will produce the season first and then shop it around to be put on a network, or on DVD’s. Heck it doesn’t matter how it gets out because everything Tyler Perry touches turns to gold. I just hope it’s better than House of Payne (yawn).
