Star Jones is getting good with these open letters. First she was telling the media to back off of the Heath Ledger ordeal, now she’s responding to Bill O’Reilly’s comments about Michelle Obama. I’m not mad at her, it’s always nice when someone uses their celebrity for something good.

A little background, someone was mad that Michelle Obama said “for the first time in my adult lifetime, I’m really proud of my country” and they called into his show.

O’Reilly responded by saying, “I don’t want to go on a lynching party against Michelle Obama unless there’s evidence, hard facts, that say this is how the woman really feels. If that’s how she really feels - that is a bad country or a flawed nation, whatever - then that’s legit. We’ll track it down.”

Lynching party? Track it down? What is this an 1808 plantation?

Barack Obama recently told Entertainment Tonight that he’d like Will Smith to play him in a movie.

“Will and I have talked about this because he has the ears! He’s better looking than me, but we both have those (ears),” he said.

What do you think?

I think if Will Smith can pull off Muhammad Ali then Barack should be no problem.

Heck, Smith even told TMZ earlier this month that an older couple thought he was Obama.

“It happened this morning on his way to the event. An older couple approached Smith and said, “We love what you’re doing. You’re so great for the country!” In true Hollywood fashion, Smith said, “Thank you!” As the star walked away, the old man said, “And we’ll be sure to vote for you.” Source

Goodness! Can Barack Obama get a break! First people were on him because he failed to put his hand over his heart during the national anthem(I thought that was only for the pledge of alligeance but I was wrong), then Tavis Smiley got a little huffy because Obama needed to campaign instead of attend his event, and now this.He said a line that someone else already said. As if we don’t do that every day. Whew they are really trying to bring him down.

I don’t know why this is news, but did you know that 9/10 times when police stop and question someone on a NYC subway, the person they question is Black or Hispanic? Wow, I am so surprised at this newsworthy discovery.

And Lil Wayne-Hot Boys reunion was cancelled after three people were shot.

There’s got to be something positive going on today! I’ll be back later to fill you in.

I get so sick of email forwards.

The ones with inspirational or uplifting words don’t bother me. But I get so tired of those “did you know”, “be careful of the man at the mall”, “don’t use this kind of soap” type of forwards.

Most often, they are fake and I am ashamed that people would actually forward that crap around.

There’s an email going around called “Your Ten Reasons to Choose Barack Obama over Hillary Clinton” and apparently it says that it was written by the head of the NAACP.

Well let’s just debunk this right now because Julian Bond, the Chairman of the NAACP said that he did not write it.

“I did not write the ‘10 reasons’ and have not and will not support or oppose any candidate or party for president”, he said in a statement.
