I don’t mind PETA, but sometimes I hate their tactics.

Here’s their latest publicity stunt geared towards Aretha Franklin:

“Music lovers may think of you as a ‘queen,’ but to animal lovers, you are a court jester . . . Why not shed the old-fashioned look that adds pounds to your frame and detracts from your beautiful voice? Please consider donating your furs to the homeless as ‘queen of compassion,’ Mariah Carey, did. You’ll get a tax credit for the donation, and we at PETA will all sing your praises.”

Weight jokes are so tasteless, really.

You may wonder why they picked on her. Well with all the publicity she’s been getting for being offended that Beyonce called Tina Turner the Queen in her Grammy’s intro, I guess they figured they’d hop on the tail end of the publicity train.

Katt Williams just made a lot of people very happy.

I’ll admit that he’s a very funny dude. In fact, when I watched Pimp Chronicles I laughed harder than I ever laughed in my life. So I’m willing to bet that some people spent their last dollar to see his show at the Laugh Factory on Sunday.

Lucky for them, he came packing…packing cash that is.

Williams walked around and handed $100 bills to everyone. He handed out a total of $29,000.

Now it’s time for a pop quiz- tell me how many people were in the audience.

I get so sick of email forwards.

The ones with inspirational or uplifting words don’t bother me. But I get so tired of those “did you know”, “be careful of the man at the mall”, “don’t use this kind of soap” type of forwards.

Most often, they are fake and I am ashamed that people would actually forward that crap around.

There’s an email going around called “Your Ten Reasons to Choose Barack Obama over Hillary Clinton” and apparently it says that it was written by the head of the NAACP.

Well let’s just debunk this right now because Julian Bond, the Chairman of the NAACP said that he did not write it.

“I did not write the ‘10 reasons’ and have not and will not support or oppose any candidate or party for president”, he said in a statement.
