Celebrities and celibacy ; do those two words even go together?

For all the kiddies who may not know what that means, celibacy is when you abstain from sex.

Now back to the grown folks business….

Lenny Kravitz says that he’s been celibate for the past 3 years and it will stay that way until he is married. “[It’s] just a promise I made until I get married…”Where I’m at in life, the women have got to come with something else, not just the body, but the mind and spirit. It usually trips them out, but that’s the way it’s going to be. I’m looking at the big picture.”

Some people may smirk and say “yea right” but I find it easy to believe him. Everyone isn’t controlled by their hormones.

Pepa (Sandy Denton) also says she’s been abstaining. “Just because I’m flirtatious people think I’m loose. But it’s not true…Truth be told, I haven’t had any sex in two years . . . I need a guy to make me go ‘Wow!’ and I just haven’t found that guy. My standards have gone way up . . . I’m not just jumping right in anymore” .

Sorry Pep, this is a little less believable, but I’m not one to judge. Good for her! I think this brings up a good point. Why is it easy for me to believe Lenny Kravitz but not so easy to believe Pepa? As bad as it it is, your actions give people certain impressions of you. I guess this is why some people smirk at the Lenny Kravitz confession.

If you don’t want to be called a dog, don’t take flea baths while eating dog food. You get my point ladies? For those who can’t make correlations, no I am not calling her a dog. I know they don’t teach critical thinking skills in schools these days so I just wanted to clarify that.

My personal PSA for the day. When you abstain from premarital sex you not only protect yourself from diseases and unwanted pregancies, but you also protect your heart…ladies especially. Yall know I had to say it.
