Anyway, Beyonce was named the 1 in female urban music by Forbes. She earned an estimated $27 million dollars in revenue, this includes album B’day, a world tour and various endorsement deals. Now, let’s wait to hear what she does for black children.

I’m sure you’ve heard that Beyonce has been cast to play famed singer Etta James in the film Cadillac Records.

Now who is Etta James because I’m not that old?

Oh yes, she sang that song Aaaat Laaaaaast (At Last)

Wow, she has a lot of soul in her voice. I wonder if Beyonce will be singing or if they’ll use some kind of voice track.

I love Award shows, yet at the same time they are hard for me to watch in their entirety…short attention span I guess.

Nonetheless, I’ll be watching the Grammy’s this year, if only to see the performance with Tina Turner and Beyonce.

Oh I can only imagine what kind of gyrating and hair swinging will be going on.

Here’s Beyonce’s tribute to Tina Turner back in ‘05. She said “When I think of inspiration I think of the two Tina’s in my life…the amazing Tina Turner. I’ll never forget the first time I saw you perform. A woman so powerful, so fierce, so fabulous.”

The Grammy’s air on February 10th. The Writers Guild of America won’t be picketing.
