While I doubt it’s usefulness for the average person, I think Kanye West’s new search engine is a smart business idea.

I won’t get into the technicalities, but it could be quite profitable if it’s handled correctly.

When you SearchWithKanyeWest.com you can win “swag bucks,” which are redeemable for prizes like limited edition Kanye West posters, iPhones, Macbooks, instruments, and other prizes. There’s also a toolbar available for download that increases your swag bucks.

Let’s just hope that toolbar doesn’t have any parasites. Sorry, I’m a web geek and a marketer. It says there’s no spyware, which is good, but commission stealing parasites are a totally different thing. You have to make money off of it somehow, let’s just hope it’s not shady.
