I had my TV tuned in but somehow I missed this Salt N Pepa performance of “What a Man” on Regis and Kelly.

My discerning ear was listening closely to see if any words were changed. I appreciate Salt’s (Cheryl James) authenticity and refusal to compromise her standards, but I still think it’s odd for her to perform her old songs. We all know they are about sex and other things that you wouldn’t sing about in church so trying to change the words is just weird. You can see in this clip that the whole song wasn’t even done. Pepa said part of a verse and then it was over.

I did get a little chuckle at the fact that the “a body like Arnold” line is no longer relevant.

The Salt n Pepa show was on, then all of a sudden it was off. Who knows what happened, there but the ladies are back.

I love watching the interactions between these two. And I’m glad that thus far, Cheryl has not compromised her Christianity. Often times people end up lowering themselves a bit instead of bringing the other person up. That doesn’t seem to be the case with these two.

The new season starts Monday, February 11 at 10 PM on VH1.

Celebrities and celibacy ; do those two words even go together?

For all the kiddies who may not know what that means, celibacy is when you abstain from sex.

Now back to the grown folks business….

Lenny Kravitz says that he’s been celibate for the past 3 years and it will stay that way until he is married. “[It’s] just a promise I made until I get married…”Where I’m at in life, the women have got to come with something else, not just the body, but the mind and spirit. It usually trips them out, but that’s the way it’s going to be. I’m looking at the big picture.”

Some people may smirk and say “yea right” but I find it easy to believe him. Everyone isn’t controlled by their hormones.
