It looks like Tyler Perry will be bringing Madea into the cartoon world.

“After receiving thousands of letters from parents telling me how much their kids love Madea and realizing that a lot of the plays were not kid friendly,” said Perry, “I wanted to do something more appropriate, and this seems to be it. A ‘Madea’ animation looks like the best way.”

I’m imagining Madea as a cartoon and the first thing that comes to mind is Suga Mama on Proud Family.

Perry will produce the season first and then shop it around to be put on a network, or on DVD’s. Heck it doesn’t matter how it gets out because everything Tyler Perry touches turns to gold. I just hope it’s better than House of Payne (yawn).

I’m been trying to get my well manicured hands on a copy of this since Monday when I reported that Tyler Perry’s Meet The Browns would be in theaters March 21st.

I guess the trailer is playing in movie theaters, because I sure haven’t seen it on TV. I haven’t been to the movies in awhile so this was my first time seeing it.

The thing I love about Tyler Perry is how smart he is. Half the country has no idea who he is yet he can put out a movie with little advertising and it will be number 1 in the box office. How many people have that kind of swag?

My business savvy tells me that it’s all about the list. It was really smart of him to build his mailing list while he was touring the country doing plays.

Tyler Perry fans can jump for joy as he’s continuing his movie-making streak.

Sanaa Lathan, Kathy Bates, Alfre Woodard and Rockmond Dunbar, are set to star in Tyler Perry’s movie The Family That Prays. There’s also talks that Jennifer Hudson may be in the film.

The movie starts filming in March, but you won’t have to wait forever to get your Tyler fix as he’s bringing Meet The Browns to the big screen as well.

I didn’t like Meet The Browns as a play. In fact I found it so long and boring that I fell asleep both times I tried to watch it. But in fairness, I’ll say that this movie might be better than the play, because I also didn’t like Why Did I Get Married? as a play but I enjoyed the movie.

We’ll see.

Meet The Browns comes to theaters March 21st.
